We welcome Misty G. Smith, M. Ed. as the principal of St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School. Mrs. Smith has been in public education since 2001 teaching upper level sciences and working in both administration and school counseling. She has served schools ranging from Class 6A to Class C in both rural and urban settings in her 20 plus year career. She loves working in education and helping children of all ages become lifelong learners. Mrs. Smith earned a bachelor's degree in science and a master's in Educational Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul parish in Hobart, Oklahoma where she serves as a sacristan, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and youth and children's volunteer. She has attended Steubenville MidAmerica and is a volunteer with the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine. Mrs. Smith is married with three children and three stepchildren. She has one grandson who she adores. She loves to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoys hiking and climbing taking several trips each year to spend time outdoors. A surprise fact about our principal is that she is a licensed funeral director and served five years in the funeral industry before becoming a fulltime educator!
