Lauren Peña began teaching high school Spanish and theatre in 2006 after graduating from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. Since then she has taught speech, drama, English, and a careers course in rural and suburban schools in Oklahoma and Missouri. She earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2019. Most recently, she served as the Technology Director at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Oklahoma City. She and her husband have two children and are parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Peña loves theatre, reading, and travel. She is an avid runner and an excellent singer when she is alone in her car.
